Life Brooks International UK as a charity started in 2018 to enhance the skills, well-being, and overall quality of life of children and young people, particularly those from deprived and disadvantaged communities in urban areas. We focus on offering social, physical, educational, and employment opportunities through accessible early years education, after-school and vocational programmes, and reintegration opportunities for NEET youth. Our approach addresses barriers such as poor nutrition and health, while promoting safe, stimulating learning environments. Central to our work is inclusive, participatory education that engages communities, fosters gender equity, supports professional and parental capacity-building, and encourages intergenerational and collaborative partnerships to ensure sustainable impact.

Mission Statement

That all young people in urban areas are supported to succeed through improved educational attainment and outcomes, personal development, and access to meaningful opportunities. We are committed to amplifying youth voices, enabling them to express their views, influence decisions, and shape the services that impact their lives. Through inclusive and responsive engagement, we are creating a society where every young person is heard, valued, and empowered to thrive.

Who We Work With

We work with children and young people from a wide range of backgrounds, with a focus on those who may need additional support to thrive. This includes children and young people in care (looked-after children) and care leavers, those with disabilities or Special Educational Needs (SEND), and those experiencing mental health challenges. We also support young people from deprived communities, those in contact with the justice system, and those not currently in education, employment, or training (NEET). Our tailored approach ensures each young person receives the right support to grow, learn, and build a positive future.

Where We Work

We operate across diverse urban areas in England, working closely with local authorities, community organisations, and other partners to deliver impactful services. Our work is rooted in the needs of each community, and we continue to expand our reach to areas where our support is most needed. By collaborating with local stakeholders, we ensure that children, young people, and families particularly in underserved and disadvantaged neighbourhoods have access to tailored, high-quality opportunities and resources.
